Quotes From Smokers

Albert Einstein: Einstein once quipped “Pipe smoking contributes to a somewhat calm and objective judgment in all human affairs.” Einstein rewrote all books on science and physics, and contributed to the development of nuclear energy, as well as paving the way for a U.S. victory in WWII. Incredibly, the greatest mind of our time would have been fired by Scotts, or never hired at all.

Mark Twain:”If I cannot smoke cigars in Heaven, I shall not go.”

Ulysses S. Grant: Reportedly smoked over 20 cigars a day, and eventually succumbed to throat cancer as a result. Nonetheless, if Lincoln dismissed Grant for smoking, would the Civil War have been lost?

Winston Churchill: The indomitable bulldog was never long separated from his favorite Royal Jamaican cigars. Again, the question arises, what if he were removed as Prime Minister because of his habit? Would World War II have been lost, and Europe and Britain under the yolk of Nazi tyranny to this day?

Isaac Newton: Reportedly “smoked incessantly”. Next, or perhaps alongside Albert Einstein, Newton possessed one of the greatest minds in the history of Mankind, and is credited with the discovery of virtually all of the fundamental laws of Modern Physics, as well as co-inventing the Calculus branch of mathematics along with Leibniz.

Robert Oppenheimer: An insane chain smoker, Oppenheimer, like Grant, also succumbed to throat cancer, likely caused by smoking, but not before overseeing the fabrication of the first atomic bomb. His administrative efficiency and brilliant scientific mind did not seem to suffer from his habit, and one can only speculate what history would have held for U.S. fortunes in the post WWII Cold War era without his efforts. Would Scotts have fired Oppenheimer as well?

That much passion for smoking, u know weed was in the picture.
