On the magic of Glass Pipes
This was a post in the "RIP Jerry Garcia" thread... but I wrote something that after clicking post I felt really should have gone in here. Anyway, here is the full text:
"Compute the physics of the average drop of a glass pipe. Please...invent some type of hybrid material or some inobtrusive protective mechanism so that when a smoking piece is faced with a drop, it will not break.
Can someone come up with a new compound...say, glass plus lycra spandex so when it is dropped it will just bend slightly and not break?" (Originally posted by slimpickens)
You know, slim, as I was going through this thread again and read this, I partially agreed with you, but then I realized that increased durability of a pipe would rob it of the magic and beauty it has now.
